The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Family Therapy

FAMILY THERAPY

Family Therapy is a distinctive psychological therapy for individuals and their support networks, provided by clinically trained Family and Systemic Psychotherapists. It aims to maximise family strengths and resilience to help people overcome problems experienced by individual family members or the family as a whole. It helps family members understand how they function as a family and to develop more helpful ways of interacting and supporting family members.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Couples Therapy

COUPLES THERAPY

Couple therapy is a means of resolving problems and conflicts that couples have not been able to handle effectively on their own. It involves both partners sitting down with a trained professional to discuss their thoughts and feelings. The aim is to help them gain a better understanding of themselves and their partner, to decide if they need and want to make changes, and if so, to help them to do so.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Separation/Divorce Mediation

SEPARATION / DIVORCE MEDIATION

Mediation is a way of sorting out the issues that arise when you separate. The mediator is there to make sure that your discussion is constructive and that each of you has your say.

Mediation is a flexible process. It can be used to sort out problems about the children or about the financial side. It is not there to sort out your relationship problems (in other words it is not about trying to get you back together – that’s the role of couples therapy), but rather to help you agree the issues that arise once you know that you are going to split up.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Adult Psychotherapy

ADULT PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychotherapy aims to help you gain deeper insight into your difficulties or distress. It can create a greater understanding of why you are the way you are, enable you to find more appropriate ways of coping, and can become the catalyst to bring about changes in your thinking and behaviour.
Psychotherapy involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and relevant events, sometimes from childhood and personal history, in a structured way with someone trained to help you do it safely. Psychotherapy can help you identify the defences and coping mechanisms you created in childhood, and whether those structures are still relevant and helpful today. It can help heal your deepest wounds and leave you feeling free to reach your true potential.
Depending on the nature of your problem, therapy can be short or long term.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Specialised Complimentary Therapy

CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is an exceptionally gentle yet extremely powerful form of treatment. People may come for Cranio-Sacral Therapy because they have acute physical problems like headaches or bad backs, or long-standing problems both physical and emotional. Others come for ongoing support in their busy lives and for help to meet life’s challenges.

Because it is so gentle and non-invasive, Cranio-Sacral Therapy is suitable for everyone from newborns to the elderly. Mothers and babies often come for problems associated with difficult or traumatic births. Letting go of tension and fear held in the body enables both to settle into calmness.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practic Homeopathy

HOMEOPATHY

Homeopathy is an effective and scientific system of healing which assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself.

It recognizes that all symptoms of ill health are expressions of disharmony within the whole person and that it is the patient who needs treatment not the disease. Homeopathy effectively stimulates your body to heal itself from the cause of illness, not just the symptoms.  We identify areas of emotional and physical imbalance which are redressed through individualised remedies selected to stimulate your body to regain its own equilibrium.

Homeopathy treats the whole person and not just the disease so it can be effective in the treatment of virtually any complaint.

The Child and Family Therapeutic Practice Bio-Resonance Health Screening

BIO-RESONANCE HEALTH SCREENING

Bio-Resonance Health Screening is a sophisticated testing technology that provides valuable insight into the underlying causes of ill-health. It identifies issues that may be contributing to illness, stress or pain in the body. The screening process looks at a number of issues, including nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, heavy metal and chemical toxicity, organ weakness or the presence of pathogens such as Candida and other parasites.

Bio-Resonance Screening works in two ways; by providing a targeted and personalised remedy to ease symptoms and address systemic imbalances that are causing ill-health and by providing extensive insight and information into the root cause of the symptom picture to guide further naturopathic support measures.

Issues evaluated by screening include:
• Organ toxicity and function
• Nutritional deficiencies and malabsorption
• Heavy metal and chemical toxicity
• Pathogen presence (eg, Candida, Lyme’s)
• Digestive Parasites and other digestive issues
• Allergic sensitivities (eg foods, animal hair, pollens)
• Hormonal and Neurotransmitter balance
• Structural misalignments and stress
