CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOTHERAPY
Our team of Integrative Child Psychotherapists work with children and adolescents aged 3-19. Their therapeutic approach incorporates psychodynamic and attachment based therapy, CBT and mindfulness.
Our therapists provide therapy in a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space. Therapy can be short or long term, and it takes place usually on weekly basis. The therapist uses talking, play and creative work (e.g. art, sand tray, music) to help children express their feelings and thoughts. They work collaboratively with parents and parent-child sessions are provided when necessary.
Therapy aims to help children to develop insight into their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Your child and adolescent are helped to cope with the challenges they are experiencing and learn how to deal with their feelings and to communicate them more skillfully. Through the process of therapy, children become more resilient, gain confidence and well-being.
Our Child Psychotherapists have experience working in the following areas:
Trauma, anxiety, phobias, OCD ADHD, bereavement and loss, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, family breakdown and challenging behaviour.
